10.0.0.1: What This Local IP Address Is Used For

    https://www.lifewire.com/10-0-0-1-818065
10.0.0.1 is more commonly seen in business computer networks than in home networks where routers normally use addresses in the 192.168.x.x series instead, such as 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1.However, at-home devices might still be assigned the 10.0.0.1 IP address, and it works just like any other.

Why Is the 10.0.0.2 IP Address Used?

    https://www.lifewire.com/10-0-0-2-ip-address-818361
7/16/2019 · Routers will normally assign these pooled addresses in sequential order (though the order is not guaranteed). Therefore, 10.0.0.2 is most commonly the address given to the first client on a local network that connects to the router based at 10.0.0.1.

Router randomly changes to 10.0.0.1 - NETGEAR Communities

    https://community.netgear.com/t5/General-WiFi-Routers-Non/Router-randomly-changes-to-10-0-0-1/td-p/315302
My router occasionally changes the LAN address from 192.168.1.1 to 10.0.01. When it does this, I have to go back and manually change it back. This is a problem because I have a couple of devices which have a fixed IP (e.g. Windows Home Server I have set to always use 192.168.1.50)
