I was told by a tech specialist from comcast this the configuration of 10.0.0.1 only works when you have the ethernet cable plugged up to either your labtop of desktop. It will not load if you are trying to do it wireless.-----I have a TG862G gateway. I can log in at 10.0.0.1 using my laptop with a wireless connection with no problems.

I have been having this problem as well. I have reset the Gateway, and can get to the 10.0.0.1 login page, but after I enter the login information, the page hangs. I scoured the forums and have found no solution, although this problem was reported in November 2013. Tech support sent a tech out, who replaced my gateway, but no joy.

10.0.0.1: What This Local IP Address Is Used For

    https://www.lifewire.com/10-0-0-1-818065
10.0.0.1 is more commonly seen in business computer networks than in home networks where routers normally use addresses in the 192.168.x.x series instead, such as 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1. However, at-home devices might still be assigned the 10.0.0.1 IP address, and it works just like any other.
