- On checking BT web pages I found a "check my status" page for BT WIFI and it also said my details were invalid. After further digging I then found out that I needed to login to my main BT account page and OPT-IN to BT WIFI via the extras tab - which I have now done. My BT Hub says that BT WIFI is active.

- Sorry can't figure out how to send you a PM (is it because you are off-line?) I thought I would try a different tack. If my registered email address (with two full stops) can't be used as my BT Id I tried to keep my BT Id the same (i.e. my name - with no @ sign) and try and change my email address.
