    04.10.2009 · You mean you are going to burn open flame gas inside the house without a chimney? You can do this without removing the insert, but it will consume the oxygen in the house and replace it with toxic fumes. Are you sure you want to do this? Also you won't need the fan, because gas logs don't make enough heat to need a fan.

    08.07.2007 · I have had a wood burning heater that burned either wood or coal. I don't think that you can convert them to gas. You can change your heating over to gas by buying gas heaters. and the gas company will have to put in gas lines to your gas heater.
