    What did help was to go to Firefox > Preferences > Security and then click on "Remember logins for sites", then quit Firefox and log in again. However, in the past time, the site automatically login after I open it, and does the same after I reopen the browser. I understand that I have to visit said site before firefox can (let alone will) do that. 2) I will stay logged in to that site whenever I change pages, go to another site, & so on (unless I deliberately log out of a specific site).

The login password on that site was changed some time ago and nFirefox sits there trying to login with either the wrong username or the wrong password.
