If this was a problem with OS X or a thrid party at boot kext file, it likely would show up BEFORE the login screen. Since it appears after the log in screen, that would suggest it's a problem with a auto-launch of a program after the account is logged into.

- Screen after login When I boot my MacBook Pro I can login in but after that I just get a grey screen. I reset PRAM 'cud option P R ' but that didn't work. I started in safe mode. That didn't, work. I then started in single user mode and ran flick -fy. This fixed a couple of issues but on reboot the same problem occurred. I am stuck any ideas?
