As for the Mopar portal axles, those have since been discontinued after appearing on a couple of Jeep's Easter Safari concept rigs, likely done in by the eye-watering price tags ($12,500 for the front, $11,000 for the rear) for something that only the most hardcore of hardcore off-roaders would want or need.

Discussion Starter · #1 · Dec 17, 2015 I remember a few years ago mopar released the portal axle ends in their catalog. The benefit being you didn't need to regear, use a lift, or beef up your driveline at all to have added ground clearance and run huge tires. So there was a cost savings that somewhat offset the high buy in price of the portals.
