- I noticed that my book mark for the Forum had the same long alphanumeric string after it, so I deleted the bookmark and also deleted the saved password in Firefox. I opened up a new tab and put in https://forums2.newsbin.com - entered my login details and checked the auto login box and then logged in.

- Big surprise, but understandable since eventually Newsbin DOES connect. So how about you get a test login at Usenetserver and put Wireshark to work on the login process, or something similar. There MUST be a reason for what's going on, and we users are in no position to troubleshoot it.
