Apr 20, 2020 · OMSA 8.5 - Login Loop. I just installed OMSA 8.5 on a Server 2016 system. The installation went fine, but I'm unable to get in. It keeps giving me the login screen, over and over. I enter my (domain) credentials, hit Submit, and it just brings the login screen back again. The system only has IE on it, so I haven't tried any other browsers; I'd ...

There is a known issue in OMSA with IE 11 after IE update of October 2019. This is related to JAVA libraries used. This issue is fixed in latest OM builds. As there is no OMSA release for Windows 2008 R2 post 8.5 we have below workaround. Download and install JRE 8u251 run omconfig preferences webserver attribute=setjre jreversion=1.8.0_251

You only log-in on the embedded webpage login prompt, normally with the domain admin login (prefix with \) or the local server admin account credentials. Chris (Dell) wrote: Bodhii, I would start with verifying that you have access rights for OMSA? If so then go ahead and check the way you are trying to connect with the steps located here.

Dell OMSA - Root user/password access for firmware updates. I would appreciate a little bit of help on this - I have recently installed OMSA 8.5 which has been successful. After logging in using my domain admin credentials I can see that I need to perform a firmware update. However I cannot find an option to do this anywhere within the interface.

Under the security tab in Internet Options click the Custom Level button for the zone in which you've added the address of your server and in User Authentication > Logon select the option "Automatic logon with current user name and password". This solution worked fine for me and I hope it would be helpful for others too. Share Improve this answer

Dell OpenManage Server Administrator Fails Login ...

    https://www.blizzardcomputers.com/dell-openmanage-server-administrator-fails-login/
If you have a hyphen or underscore (possibly other characters) in the server name this might fail. It doesn't matter how many times you enter the correct username and password it just keeps asking, over and over again. For me I simply replaced the server name in the URL with localhost and BING! It works.
