- It might work to put the portal case outside of the brakes and bolt to the axle. Then weld on mounts on the axle tube between the diff and the brakes to attach to the portal case as well. This mount will prevent the the portal case from rotating. You get to keep the brakes and could adapt a large family of axles to work.
