- For the JK I wouldn't do portals. If you saw them on the new Mercedes, I'm with you, it's a cool setup. And Chrysler did try to sell them through Mopar performance, and ran them at Safari in 2012 on a jeep prototype. I believe the estimated cost for the axles and all the necessary accessories cost around 30,000$.

- Well lets see. 14K for portal axles. 20K for hemi swap. Initial cost of JK roughly 30K. Total 64K. That's a lot of coin and you still have a Wrangler. I think a more capable vehicle can be had for that kind of money, one that is not made out of plastic and has a paper thin hood I might add.
