- 1/25/2017 · In case anyone looks at this later, my problem was in the environment variables. My Remote desktop would connect and then immediately close. After discovering my RAM Disk that my temp files were pointing to was not mounted, I mounted it, and my temporary files were allowed again and my Remote desktop functioned properly again.
