I thought it might be spam so I didn't do it, but on trying to login to SP using my usual details, it said my combination of name and password was unknown. I'm very puzzled as I have changed nothing about my use of SP in at least 3 years.

ScotlandsPeople has announced via Twitter that there will be a considerable delay in the release of the 1921 Scotland census. Scotland originally planned to have its 1921 census released in the summer of 2021 - before the one for England and Wales, which is being released via Findmypast in early 2022. Good content but very expensive. There is a lot of content on the site that is very useful when researching your family history. Much of it isn't available anywhere else so is really a vital resource. Unfortunately compared to other genealogy sites it is very expensive. Guest. No idea, unfortunately, as I've never had any problems with ScotlandsPeople, but I use Safari as my browser. I'd recommend contacting the ScotlandsPeople helpline via email and asking them. The only time I've had to contact them I got a really good reply from a real human being! 24-03-2013, 2:22 AM #3. jac65.

How does one cite the "ever changing" ScotlandsPeople? - Evidence Explained

    https://www.evidenceexplained.com/node/1632
ScotlandsPeople seems to have changed frequently over the last 15 or more years. It comes as no surprise that the example in section 9.56 of my 3rd ed. copy of EE doesn't help to cite the current website structure. There is no longer a, "Statutory Births 1855-2013," collection. It has been renamed.

    https://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUserReviews-g186525-d1013523-r773552098-ScotlandsPeople_Centre-Edinburgh_Scotland.html
Review of ScotlandsPeople Centre. The service may be good at the Centre in Edinburgh and the cost isn't that bad if you are visiting it from afar and spend the whole day there. HOWEVER, the online service is a total rip off! The cost of viewing records of BDM and census records is £1.50 each and higher charges for wills and some military records.
