- Feb 21, 2004 · When I'm in the Vag-com engine, open controller screen; I press coding #7, it takes me to a screen asking for that soft. code and I put in the one shown (0050078). When I click "do it", it takes me back to the engine - open controller screen. If I click Login #11, the next screen asks me for the engine controller code which is only 5 digits long.

- Bro, you need login code, you can find it in engine ecu. Open ecu, on the front side of the pcb uou will find I think it was 24c04 eeprom, desolder, read it with any programmer you have, put bin into edc15 calculator software and there you go. All job takes 15 minutes.
