    Version 7.0 must be 8 or 9 years old and the Firebox III hardware is like running a Pentium 1 as your desktop. I don't believe Firebox III's even support "Fireware" (the re-written version that replaced WFS), let alone anything near version 11. Watchguard usually have trade-up promos/discount to replace old models. I did upgrade, to a Cisco ASA :-)

On some versions, the buttons and LCD screen on the front have a menu that can show you the IP addresses set on the different interfaces - X700 looks like it has them, firmware 7.5 might not do that, but try it - see if it's actually got the IP and subnet mask you expect on interface eth1.
