- that apparently builds up S.W.A.T type armoured Defenders with Tibus 4" 1.16 :1 so called 'new generation portals' with larger unit bearings and bigger stub shaft, but the photo of the truck on Robert's thread shows the front axle with portals fitted but minus the bottom kingpin brace, so I question the credibility of that article.

- It's still on the site. The last post I read by Robert (oilworker) was that Tibus had discontinued the 1.6 option, IIRC due to them requiring special rims. The 1.16 ratio IMO doesn't really sufficiently reduce the strain on ring and pinions, halfshafts, CV joint etc to compensate for running the 35-37" tyres that anyone wanting portals would use.
