- I had the exact same thing: just run my usual "apt update/apt upgrade", which changed XRDP and a few other things (with a pause asking about sesman.ini) after which XRDP wouldn't or couldn't let me log in. Sure, we could troubleshoot the situation, but switching to XFCE4 got things up and running again immediately.
